On September 25, 2010 twenty teams from ten countries around the world made a start in the 54th Gordon Bennett Gas Balloon Race. Taking off at dusk from a site near Bristol, the team which flies the furthest distance from the start point wins the race.

A brave flying squadron from Israel Aero Club consisted of four aircrafts visited Georgia this July.  For the first time foreign tourists came to our county by their own planes. This is a good start for a new way of learning Georgia.  We expect 25 aircrafts from Israel, Poland, Lithuania and Ukraine next year.

28.02.2010 ქართულ-უკრაინულმა ეკიპაჟმა შეასრულა პირველი სავარჯიშო ფრენა შავ ზღვაზე გადაფრენის მომზადების პროგრამით.
ეკიპაჟმა სტარტი აიღო ფირმა Kubicek-ის სითბური აეროსატატით BB 42Z დასახლებული პუნქტი ულიანოვკადან (უკრაინა) კურსით კიევისაკენ. ფრენა 10 სთ და 29 წთ.  გრძელდებოდა, გავლილმა მანძილმა 124.5 კმ შეადგინა, მიღწეული სიმაღლე 4 613 მ.
ფრენისას დამყარდა უკრაინის რეკორდი სიმაღლეში და საქართველოს ორი ეროვნული რეკორდი სიშორესა და ჰაერში ყოფნის დროზე.
