The Aviation Training Centre within the First Aeronautic Club trains pilots and hot air balloon technicians.
The training course consists of theoretical and practical classes.
The trainees begin to attend the school straight after being checked by a medical flight commission. Classes are held on the premises of the Georgian Aviation Institute.
The training course (depending on meteo conditions) takes about two months.
Upon completing training and passing exams the cadets are awarded pilot licenses which permit them to pilot hot air balloon both in Georgia and abroad, as well as technician's certificates that allow them to service and repair hot air balloons.
